i’m not sure where to start, but … i just arrived here, and there is a kaprimon on my sholdur saying that we need to find a place to stay. i’m inclined to belive him. why can’t i find the shift button?

[He really doesn't want to get in to talking about his family. Not when there's so little chance he'll ever see them again. Kenji is one thing, but he doesn't expect to see anyone else he knows.

He does give Nadeko's hand a squeeze, though, apologizing for how aloof he's acting at the moment.]

These things can give you instantaneous travel from one city to another. Makes getting around a lot easier. ... you okay? Its a little disorienting at first.

[ probably better to not hold hands around Watanuki, but she gives Kazuma's hand a gentle/apologetic squeeze before letting it go and rushing over to the kitchen to give Watanuki a quick hug. ]

Fine. This is Koiso Kenji. he's from my world, actually. My cousin's boyfriend.

Thanks for taking such good care of Kazuma-kun. Everyone back home was really worried, so it's good to know he's safe here.

[Kazuma goes quiet again at the mention of the people back home, so Doumeki puts his book away and goes to greet Kenji. It's kind of noticeable that Kazuma feels guilty about leaving his family to worry, but everyone knows there's nothing he can do about it.]

Doumeki Shizuka. Its nice to meet you, Koiso-san. Do you need some extra clothes? It takes a little bit to get settled here, but we don't mind helping.
